OUTPATIENT TREATMENT

Exceptional Outpatient Rehab & Therapy Services in Dallas-Fort Worth

While many treatment programs rely on outdated 12-step models, Enterhealth embraces research by the National Institutes of Health classifying addiction as a chronic brain disease. We believe that substance use disorders require a comprehensive approach that combines medical treatment with psychological therapy to treat the whole person, not just the addiction.

At the Enterhealth Outpatient Center of Excellence, our master’s-level therapists, physicians, and telehealth professionals work together to assess your situation and suggest practical and proven methods to treat substance use disorders and mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and more.

Whether in person at our outpatient treatment center or in the convenience of your home through virtual sessions, Enterhealth can help you or a loved one take the first step toward lasting recovery today.

Because they begin with the knowledge that addiction is a brain disease, they employ the latest medical advances to combat the damage done to the brain's neurotransmitters. This helps to restore serotonin levels and combat cravings, giving the brain a chance to heal so that recovery can move forward.

Collaborative Patient Care

A licensed therapist provides round-the-clock patient care and case management support, which is beneficial to clients who need a more structured level of care. The role of the case manager is to foster coordinated, collaborative care and services for clients and report their progress to our multidisciplinary treatment team. This team meets weekly to evaluate patient progress, review milestones, make recommendations, and explore ongoing treatment strategies to help clients successfully manage their substance use disorder throughout their lives.

Medical Services

Our medical team can also perform urine drug screens, breathalyzers, EKGs, and a variety of laboratory tests to monitor your sobriety and overall health. Furthermore, our team’s involvement in the Dallas-Fort Worth medical community provides us with a broad range of referral sources for clients who may need more specialized services or care.

Outpatient Rehab Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

We want to answer all of your questions so that you’ll have confidence in selecting Enterhealth Outpatient Center of Excellence to help you and your family maintain a sustained recovery. Below are some of the questions we answer most, but if you have other questions, please call us any time at 1.800.388.4601.

Do you take insurance?

We work with most major insurance companies on an out-of-network basis to maximize treatment benefits for our patients.

While Enterhealth has no control over the outcome of insurance reviews, our staff works hard to obtain the maximum benefit allowed by a patient’s company and our goal is to exhaust all possible options to prevent funding from being a barrier to the treatment.

Do you provide outpatient rehab and addiction treatment?

Enterhealth provides a full continuum of substance use disorder treatment, including inpatient rehab, outpatient rehab, and mental health treatment, as well as education, intervention, and a host of other related services.

Our outpatient rehab team includes master’s-level clinicians and full-time addiction-trained psychiatrists. After a comprehensive evaluation, this team will collaborate to create a set of recommendations for treatment based on each individual’s goals, the nature of their substance use, and their family and lifestyle considerations.

I only occasionally have problems with my drinking, how do I know if I really have a problem?

If you’re concerned about your drinking but not sure if it qualifies as a problem, you can start by taking one of our self-assessments.

At Enterhealth, we understand that everyone is different, and that’s why we custom tailor all treatment plans to the individual. Our clinical team will look at your medical history, perform a psycho-social evaluation, and examine your patterns of drug and alcohol use. Only after this comprehensive assessment will they offer specific treatment recommendations.

What does your outpatient programming include?

Our team of experts creates a unique outpatient treatment program for each individual patient. Customized outpatient rehab plans may include:

  • Medication management
  • Intensive outpatient (IOP)
  • Supportive outpatient (SOP)
  • Maintenance outpatient (MOP)
  • Psychological testing and cognitive remediation
  • Individual therapy
  • Group therapy
  • Family therapy
  • Transition group therapy
  • Neurofeedback
  • Smoking cessation
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

What is the time commitment for Enterhealth’s IOP?

The key to successful recovery in any treatment model is consistency and sustained patient engagement. As such, our IOP consists of three (3) three-hour group therapy sessions weekly for eight weeks.

Additionally, we recommend a weekly individual session with one of our therapists. IOP sessions are held each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning or Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings. Upon completion of IOP, many of our patients ‘step down’ to SOP, which meets twice weekly for an hour and a half each session.

I work during the day – does Enterhealth provide evening programs?

We offer outpatient rehab – both IOP and SOP – in the evenings in addition to daytime sessions.

Do you offer medication management of anti-addiction and other medications?

At Enterhealth, we have full-time, addiction-trained psychiatrists who can prescribe and manage anti-addiction medications as part of a comprehensive treatment plan. These medications (including Suboxone and Vivitrol) help reduce cravings, prevent overdoses, and even block the euphoric effects of certain substances.

Additional medications may be prescribed for conditions such as depression or anxiety. When treating individuals for addiction, it is critical to take stock of all medications and how they interact to safeguard against adverse reactions.

Can I attend outpatient at Enterhealth if I received inpatient treatment somewhere else?

Whether you complete inpatient treatment at Enterhealth or with another provider, we are happy to provide outpatient rehab services. Please call us today at 1.800.388.4601 to talk to one of our admission specialists about your situation.

What is the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and how does it help the transition from residential treatment to outpatient care?

A Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is an outpatient program that offers a highly structured and accountable environment for individuals transitioning from residential treatment to outpatient care. It serves as a bridge between inpatient and outpatient treatment by providing flexible yet intensive care and support for both the individual and their family members.

PHP is designed to offer the highest level of structure and accountability available in an outpatient setting. It recognizes the need for continued support and care following residential treatment while allowing individuals to gradually transition back to their daily lives. By offering a structured environment, it helps individuals maintain the progress they made during inpatient treatment and provide them with the necessary tools to navigate the challenges they may face in their recovery journey.

One of the key features of PHP is its flexibility. Unlike inpatient treatment, PHP provides individuals with the opportunity to attend treatment during the day while returning home in the evening. This flexibility allows individuals to gradually reintegrate into their home environment and regain their independence while still having access to the intensive care and support they need.

PHP also offers intensive care and accountability not only to the individual but also to their family members. Recognizing that addiction impacts the whole family unit, PHP involves families in the treatment process, providing them with education, therapy sessions, and support. By involving the family, PHP helps create a supportive network and enhances the individual’s chances of long-term recovery.

What’s the difference between family treatment and family involvement?

In simplest terms, Family Involvement is the inclusion of family or loved ones as a part of one’s comprehensive treatment plan. Family Treatment is a support program for families and loved ones that helps them understand addiction and how to provide support. It’s also designed to help family members heal as well.

For a truly effective recovery, everyone in an addicted family system needs to participate in treatment. Most programs only teach the family how to deal with their addicted loved one, not how to heal themselves. Family members must learn new stress management techniques for achieving healthy interactions and address their individual issues or needs to heal as a unit. Often, when families aren’t involved in treatment, the patient simply returns to the same stressful, unhealthy, dysfunctional environment, making future relapse more likely.
