Enterhealth Ranch is the top addiction treatment because of the comprehensiveness of the program, its practices, its scientific approach, its dual-diagnosis specialization and the skill level of their physicians and therapists.

Regardless of insurance or your current financial situation, our experts in mental health and substance use disorders can help you decide the best course of action for you and your family. At our Outpatient Center of Excellence, our master’s-level therapists, physicians and telehealth professionals can assess your situation and suggest practical and proven methods to treat everything from anxiety and depression to co-occurring substance use disorders. Whether in person at our outpatient facility or in the convenience of your home through an online virtual session, rest assured Enterhealth can help you take the first step toward lasting recovery with our comprehensive assessment.
While other treatment programs are based on outdated 12-step models and the idea that you can talk yourself out of substance use disorder, Enterhealth embraces research by the National Institutes of Health and takes a medical approach to treat drug and alcohol addiction as a brain disease. And, unlike most providers, we also provide ongoing recovery support at the Enterhealth Outpatient Center of Excellence. Conveniently located near the Park Cities in Dallas, our outpatient rehab services are available to patients who have completed residential treatment at Enterhealth Ranch or elsewhere. Our comprehensive support services – a continuum of care – are designed to help you maintain recovery. With each visit, you’ll gain new insights into your recovery and will be treated with exceptional care in a private suite of upscale therapy and treatment rooms surrounded by experienced physicians, therapists, neuropsychologists, certified nurses and board-certified substance use disorder psychiatrists.
We combine behavioral therapy, wellness and stress-management programs and FDA-approved anti-addiction medicines to help you stay on track in recovery. Our clinical staff can also conduct urine drug screens, breathalyzers, EKGs and a variety of laboratory tests to monitor your sobriety and overall health.
A visionary facility, Enterhealth Ranch is raising the bar in drug and alcohol addiction treatment by providing the best outcomes. As the choice for employees of Baylor Health Care System, as well as the students and faculty of Southern Methodist University, I truly believe it will soon be the country’s leading addiction recovery management program.
Because they begin with the knowledge that addiction is a brain disease, they employ the latest medical advances to combat the damage done to the brain’s neurotransmitters. This helps to restore serotonin levels, combat cravings, and give the brain a chance to heal so that recovery can move forward.
Comprehensive, ongoing care for a sustained recovery
Other treatment programs see you for 28 days and then you’re on your own. At Enterhealth, our evidence-based treatment program developed at the Enterhealth Brain Healing Institute extends beyond residential treatment to include a full spectrum of services designed to help you sustain recovery and also help your family support you in your journey.
Each patient may be seen by a clinical psychologist and undergo an intensive battery of neuropsychological testing to help identify specific issues related to memory or thinking functions that can affect both work performance and interpersonal relationships. Relevant clinical findings from these evaluations are incorporated into the patient’s individualized treatment plan, so they can be addressed and treated.
This is an ideal program for working professionals and those living at home who need a structured setting and convenient evening hours. Intensive outpatient treatment programs meet for approximately 3 hours per evening, 3 days a week, and run for 8 consecutive weeks.
The primary goal of SOP is to help individuals to re-engage in recovery and use their enhanced knowledge gained in residential care to prevent relapse. Supportive Outpatient Programs (SOP) meet for approximately one-and-a-half hours an evening, 2 days a week, and run for 8 consecutive weeks.
- Individual Therapy
Individual, outpatient drug and alcohol addiction therapy is conducted in a one-on-one setting and provides a safe and confidential environment to break through barriers and address the factors that have led to your loved one’s addiction. In group therapy, members are matched with people who are roughly the same age, sex, and socio-economic status so they develop a sense of comfort and cohesiveness within the group, while maintaining strict anonymity.
- Group Therapy
We continually develop helpful and relevant topics for group therapy. To help build camaraderie and increase comfort levels, we maintain small groups made up of patients who are roughly the same age, functional level, and socioeconomic status. The anonymity and confidentiality of group members are strictly maintained. All groups meet at the Enterhealth Outpatient Center of Excellence office, conveniently located in Preston Center near Northwest Highway and the Dallas North Tollway in Dallas.
Most treatment programs only teach the family how to deal with their addicted loved one, not how to heal themselves.
Enterhealth Outpatient Center of Excellence offers a highly unique program that works to heal the family as a unit, with individual and group therapies designed to break through barriers, strengthen ties, address and treat the fallout of addiction and discover new ways for everyone affected to live together and thrive in recovery. Family members must learn new stress management techniques for achieving healthy interactions – and addressing their individual issues or needs – in order to heal as a unit along with their recovering loved one. When the family is left untreated, the addict in residential treatment will return to the same stressful, unhealthy, dysfunctional environment, making their future relapse more likely.
We believe that people in recovery will always need some support in order to maintain long-term sobriety. We provide a number of services, including trauma, career, life and legal counseling, as well as individual, group, family and couples therapy. All of these services are important for recovery because they can identify underlying emotional issues within the individual or family that may have contributed to addiction.
- Trauma Counseling
Trauma-related issues are a vital contributor to drug or alcohol addiction and relapse. We offer a range of trauma therapies to help resolve painful emotions and memories from the past that can negatively impact one’s physical and emotional recovery. Some of the treatments include Mindfulness, Post-Induction Therapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing). All of these therapies work to help clients deal with traumatic events from the past so they can deal with them in a productive, healthy manner in the future.
- Career Counseling
For clients who are unemployed or have a history of frequent job changes, Enterhealth Outpatient Center of Excellence can provide psychological testing to help identify strengths and establish work-related goals. For young adults (ages 18-24) who may be struggling with career choices, career counseling may help identify work choices based on intellectual skills, personal interests and strengths. Also, our team offers practical advice and tools to make the return to work more successful for patients experiencing anxiety.
- Life Coaching
Life coaches help patients develop a healthy lifestyle that includes such things as exercise and nutrition. They may also address your loved one’s spiritual needs. In fulfilling these needs, Enterhealth Outpatient Center of Excellence utilizes a variety of resources for meeting these needs.
- Legal Counseling
Our clinical team is also well-versed and experienced in legal evaluations and expert testimony regarding substance use disorders. We can provide patient progress reports and recommendations to courts and attorneys if requested. We also have an excellent working relationship with many members of the legal community and are comfortable in addressing legal issues that may surface during treatment. With Enterhealth’s Telehealth Services, you can have convenient and exceptional care long after inpatient or outpatient treatment. This innovative, anytime service keeps you continuously connected to your recovery using a specialized high-definition video connection on a highly secure HIPAA-compliant platform that works on most computers, tablets and mobile smartphone devices.
Teletherapy services are available to Texas residents who have completed treatment at Enterhealth or elsewhere, are maintaining sobriety, and cannot easily attend in-person therapy sessions at the Enterhealth Outpatient Center of Excellence in Dallas. Some of our patients use teletherapy because they live in rural areas, frequently travel for business, need sessions while on vacation, do not have reliable transportation, or have physical limitations making travel difficult.
Our highly trained staff will guide your loved one through a full assessment to determine the adjustments needed to achieve happiness, inner balance, improved wellness and sobriety. Our holistic services are designed to rebalance energies in the body, mind and spirit. Services include acupuncture, massage therapy, Tui Na, cupping, moxibustion and nutritional counseling based on the Five Element Theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
At times, dual-diagnosis patients may need medication to treat the symptoms of anxiety, depression, insomnia, or other issues that are co-occurring with their addiction. Also, anti-addiction medications may be prescribed to reduce cravings and facilitate sobriety and healing of the brain – all under expert medical supervision.
Smoking is the leading preventable cause of death in the United States, according to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), with more than 480,000 smoking-related deaths each year. In addition, it is one of the toughest habits to stop, as it takes an average of 5 to 7 tries before a person achieves success quitting. Because of this high failure rate, Enterhealth offers an innovative smoking cessation program.
The treatment is done through Enterhealth’s telehealth service platform, which includes telepsychiatry and teletherapy. The technology is a modern form of health care delivery which breaks away from traditional models by using telecommunication systems and wireless communication methods such as tablets and smartphones to connect patients with therapists or doctors. The 12-week session starts with an initial assessment by a psychiatrist, who is able to determine any underlying psychiatric issues before starting treatment. From there, the experts at Enterhealth create a personalized treatment plan aimed at preventing or lessening the withdrawal, anxiety, depression and weight gain that often accompanies stopping nicotine. After that, each patient is given a customized medication plan and attends therapy sessions via telemedicine, so that the patient never has to come into a doctor’s office but is still able to receive the latest, science-based care to address this life-threatening condition.
Enterhealth is uniquely qualified to offer this program because we have extensive experience working with dual-diagnosis disorders, meaning we understand how to deal with the psychological components, as well as the cravings and other elements that can foster the addiction. The program is also offered to patients at Enterhealth not only via telemedicine, but in person. At Enterhealth Ranch and Enterhealth Outpatient Center of Excellence, doctors and therapists are focused on the overall well-being of each patient, and that same care goes into helping the public stop smoking through the smoking cessation program.

Enterhealth provides a full continuum of substance use disorder treatment, including education, intervention, residential and outpatient programming. Our Outpatient Center of Excellence includes a team of master-level clinicians and full-time addiction-trained psychiatrists. After a comprehensive evaluation, our clinical team recommends a treatment plan based upon each individual’s goals, the nature of their substance use and their family and lifestyle considerations.Learn More
At our Outpatient Center of Excellence, our clinical team provides comprehensive evaluations each day with individuals who are struggling to manage their substance use. They will review medical history, perform a psycho-social evaluation and discuss one’s pattern of substance and alcohol use. Only then will they provide a specific treatment recommendation – whether comprehensive outpatient, residential treatment or individual therapy.Learn More
Our outpatient programming is customized for each individual patient. This may include intensive outpatient (IOP) group therapy, supportive outpatient (SOP) group therapy, or transition group therapy – all in addition to individual sessions with our licensed therapists and our psychiatrists. We also have a dedicated neuropsychologist who provides neuropsychological testing and cognitive remediation. Additional treatment services offered on an outpatient basis include neurofeedback, smoking cessation, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and medication management.Learn More
The key to successful recovery in any treatment model is consistency and sustained patient engagement. As such, our IOP consists of three (3) three-hour group therapy sessions weekly for eight weeks. Additionally, we highly recommend a weekly individual session with one of our therapists. IOP sessions are held each Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning or Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Upon completion of IOP, many of our patients ‘step down’ to SOP, which meets twice weekly for an hour and a half each session.Learn More
We offer IOP and SOP in the evenings in addition to daytime sessions.Learn More
At Enterhealth, we have full-time addiction-trained psychiatrists who may utilize medication management as a critical element of a comprehensive and individualized treatment plan. These medications may help reduce cravings, prevent overdoses and even block the euphoric effects of certain substances. Medications may also be prescribed to help with other conditions such as depression or anxiety. When treating individuals for addiction, it is critical to monitor all medications, check how they may interact with one another and safeguard against any adverse reactions. This happens with the understanding that no medication impacts any two people in the same way, and for that reason, each person requires an individual approach.Learn More
Whether one completes residential treatment at Enterhealth or with another provider, we are happy to provide ongoing outpatient rehab services. Please call us today at 1.800.388.4601 to talk to one of our admission specialists about your particular situation.Learn More
In simplest terms, Family Involvement is the inclusion of family or loved ones as a part of one’s comprehensive treatment plan. Family Treatment is a support program for families and loved ones that helps them understand addiction and how to provide support. It’s also designed to help family members heal as well.
Effectively treating the individual patient is only the first step in the overall healing process. Everyone in an addicted family system needs to participate in the treatment process. Most treatment programs only teach the family how to deal with their addicted loved one, not how to heal themselves. Family members must learn new stress management techniques for achieving healthy interactions – and address their individual issues or needs – in order to heal as a unit, along with their recovering loved one. So often, when the family is left untreated, the individual patient returns to the same stressful, unhealthy, dysfunctional environment, making future relapse more likely.Learn More
