Outpatient Addiction Treatment Programs
Enterhealth’s Outpatient addiction services include several programs that offer varying levels of intensity depending on what the patient requires. Our primary service offerings include:
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP)
Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) offer more support and guidance than traditional once-a-week rehab counseling and are complemented by family, individual, and group therapy, as well as educational sessions. This is an ideal program for working professionals and those living at home who need a structured setting and convenient evening hours.
Intensive outpatient treatment programs meet for approximately 3 hours per day, 3 days a week, and run for 8 consecutive weeks.
Supportive Outpatient Programs (SOP)
Enterhealth also offers a supportive outpatient program (SOP), which provides the support and guidance of an IOP, but with a less intense schedule. The primary goal of SOP is to help individuals to re-engage in recovery and use their enhanced knowledge gained in residential care to prevent relapse.
Supportive outpatient programs meet for approximately one-and-a-half hours, 2 days a week, and run for 8 consecutive weeks.
Maintenance Outpatient Programs (MOP)
Enterhealth’s maintenance outpatient programs provide medication-assisted substance addiction treatment for clients who need to continue to work and/or look after their families. Receiving these specialized services in an outpatient setting offers patients more flexibility.
Maintenance outpatient programs meet for approximately one-and-a-half hours, 1 day a week, and run for 8 consecutive weeks.
Virtual Outpatient Programs
Enterhealth’s virtual outpatient program offers the same exceptional care and keeps you continuously connected to your recovery through our highly secure, HIPAA-compliant platform which offers a high-definition video connection that works on most computers, tablets, and smartphones.
Open to Texas residents who have completed inpatient treatment at Enterhealth or elsewhere, are maintaining sobriety, and cannot easily attend in-person appointments and sessions.

Medication Management
The Enterhealth Outpatient Center of Excellence offers medication management and monitoring by board-certified medical doctors, psychiatrists, and nurse practitioners for both addiction and psychiatric conditions.
Anti-addiction medications may be prescribed to reduce cravings and facilitate sobriety and healing of the brain, and some patients also require medication to treat the symptoms of anxiety, depression, insomnia, or other issues that co-occur with addiction, known as a dual diagnosis.
Dual-Diagnosis Treatment
Many people with substance use disorder also suffer from one or more co-occurring mental health or behavioral disorder(s) – a condition known as a dual diagnosis. That’s why our team of physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, and Master’s-level therapists work in tandem to diagnose and treat mental health disorders.
