Understanding Addiction Treatment for Patients with Brain Injuries
Speaker: Kier Bison, PhD, ABPP, Enterhealth Licensed Psychologist
Join us for this presentation as Kier Bison outlines various types of substance use disorders and acquired brain injuries, the prevalence of these issues in the general population, and the co-morbid relationship between these conditions. Throughout her presentation, she will address the unique challenges in treating substance use before and after brain injury, the modifications to evidence-based treatments that can remedy these difficulties, and the lifestyle measures that can be taken to prevent brain injuries.
Complimentary breakfast will be provided, and CEU credits will be available for eligible participants. Attendance and seating in our private room will be limited to ensure we maintain the required six feet for safe social distancing. Upon arrival, participants will be required to complete a temperature check and a verbal COVID-19 screening and must wear a mask for the duration of the event aside from eating and drinking. To provide everyone with an opportunity to attend our in-person events, we may request individuals limit their participation to one event for the year.
