DALLAS, Feb. 6, 2025 – The Distinguished Fellow designation—the highest membership honor bestowed by the American Psychiatric Association (APA)—has been awarded to Dr. Umar Latif. This prestigious recognition is given to outstanding psychiatrists who have made significant contributions to the profession in at least five key areas, including administration, teaching, research, volunteerism, community involvement, and clinical excellence. As the APA describes it, “Excellence, not mere competence, is the hallmark of an APA Distinguished Fellow.”
“Receiving this distinction from the APA is a profound honor,” said Dr. Latif. “Throughout my career, my commitment has always been to provide the highest level of care to my patients and to advance the field of psychiatry. To be recognized among my peers for that dedication is truly humbling. I am grateful to be part of a community that is shaping the future of mental health treatment and improving lives every day.”

By taking this approach Enterhealth has become the pioneer in providing the latest advancements in the treatment industry.
“There are many treatment programs, but each patient’s journey is unique. Enterhealth rejects one-size-fits-all care in favor of a relentless, personalized approach that prioritizes exceptional treatment over insurance-driven standards,” said David Kniffen Jr., president and CEO of Enterhealth. “Dr. Latif’s experience and patient-centered philosophy make him an invaluable addition to our team.”
Under Dr. Latif’s leadership, Enterhealth will continue setting the standard for innovative addiction treatment, integrating medical expertise with holistic, individualized care.
